Meet Dottie Billington . . .
Dottie Billington, Ph.D., has a passion for enabling people of all
ages to grow, achieve, and thrive––to become the best that they can be.
Through her speaking, training, teaching, writing––and now through
her internationally-published, Award-Winning book, Life
is an Attitude, Dottie guides business
people, seniors, busy moms and dads, college students, and people in transition
with her message of “how to grow forever better.”
When in her mid-forties, while working with business clients, she wondered why
some seemed to be forever growing, learning, effective; yet others, equally movies download, download movies, 2007 movies, buying movie online, buy movie online, cheap cigarettes, Buy cigarettes online, cheap marlboro cigarettes, download mp3, cialis online, buy cialis online, buy viagra online
intelligent and good people, appeared to be stuck.
Driven to learn more, she returned to graduate school at age 50, earning
a Ph.D. in the new field of adult development.
Until recent decades scientists had thought only children grow and
develop, reaching full maturity at about 20, nevermore to change until middle
age, when our “inevitable” downhill slide begins.
We now know that we not only can––but are meant to continue
learning and growing as long as we live.
Dottie's doctoral dissertation, which examined why some adults continue to grow
all their lives while others do not, was twice nominated by leaders in the field
for the award for that year's outstanding dissertation.
Her articles on this topic have been widely published here and abroad,
stimulating widespread ongoing interest.
Her new book, Life is an Attitude:
How to Grow Forever Better, draws
from this research and from her many years as a personal growth and transition
trainer. Her engaging, animated,
inspirational style of sharing her message with her audiences comes through in
the spoken word during presentations and interviews and with the written word on
the page.
The mother of two grown sons, Dottie lives in the
Seattle
area with her husband, Bill.
